룻기 1:20~22

1. 20

   나오미가 그들에게 이르되 나를 나오미라 부르지 말고 나를 마라라 부르라 이는 전능자가 나를 심히 괴롭게 하셨음이니라

   "Don't call me Naomi," she told them. Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter.

2. 21

   내가 풍족하게 나갔더니 여호와께서 내게 비어 돌아오게 하셨느니라 여호와께서 나를 징벌하셨고 전능자가 나를 괴롭게 하셨거늘 너희가 어찌 나를 나오미라 부르느냐 하니라

   I went away full, but the LORD has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The LORD has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me.

3. 22

   나오미가 모압 지방에서 그의 며느리 모압 여인 룻과 함께 돌아왔는데 그들이 보리 추수 시작할 때에 베들레헴에 이르렀더라

   So Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning.

룻기 4:13~17

1. 13

   이에 보아스가 룻을 맞이하여 아내로 삼고 그에게 들어갔더니 여호와께서 그에게 임신하게 하시므로 그가 아들을 낳은지라

   So Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife. Then he went to her, and the LORD enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son.

2. 14

   여인들이 나오미에게 이르되 찬송할지로다 여호와께서 오늘 네게 기업 무를 자가 없게 하지 아니하셨도다 이 아이의 이름이 이스라엘 중에 유명하게 되기를 원하노라

   The women said to Naomi: 'Praise be to the LORD, who this day has not left you without a kinsman-redeemer. May he become famous throughout Israel!

3. 15

   이는 네 생명의 회복자이며 네 노년의 봉양자라 곧 너를 사랑하며 일곱 아들보다 귀한 네 며느리가 낳은 자로다 하니라

   He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth.'

4. 16

   나오미가 아기를 받아 품에 품고 그의 양육자가 되니

   Then Naomi took the child, laid him in her lap and cared for him.

5. 17

   그의 이웃 여인들이 그에게 이름을 지어 주되 나오미에게 아들이 태어났다 하여 그의 이름을 오벳이라 하였는데 그는 다윗의 아버지인 이새의 아버지였더라

   The women living there said, 'Naomi has a son.' And they named him Obed. He was the father of Jesse, the father of David.
