    ¾Æºê¶÷ÀÌ ±×µ¹¶ó¿À¸á°ú ±×¿Í ÇÔ²² ÇÑ ¿ÕµéÀ» Ãĺμö°í µ¹¾Æ¿Ã ¶§¿¡ ¼Òµ¼ ¿ÕÀÌ »ç¿þ °ñÂ¥±â °ð ¿ÕÀÇ °ñÂ¥±â·Î ³ª¿Í ±×¸¦ ¿µÁ¢ÇÏ¿´°í

    After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley).

    Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,

    ±×°¡ ¾Æºê¶÷¿¡°Ô ÃູÇÏ¿© À̸£µÇ õÁöÀÇ ÁÖÀçÀ̽ÿä Áö±ØÈ÷ ³ôÀ¸½Å Çϳª´ÔÀÌ¿© ¾Æºê¶÷¿¡°Ô º¹À» ÁֿɼҼ­

    and he blessed Abram, saying, 'Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.

    ³ÊÈñ ´ëÀûÀ» ³× ¼Õ¿¡ ºÙÀ̽ŠÁö±ØÈ÷ ³ôÀ¸½Å Çϳª´ÔÀ» Âù¼ÛÇÒÁö·Î´Ù ÇϸŠ¾Æºê¶÷ÀÌ ±× ¾òÀº °Í¿¡¼­ ½ÊºÐÀÇ ÀÏÀ» ¸á±â¼¼µ¦¿¡°Ô ÁÖ¾ú´õ¶ó

    And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.' Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

      ÀÌ ¸á±â¼¼µ¦Àº »ì·½ ¿ÕÀÌ¿ä Áö±ØÈ÷ ³ôÀ¸½Å Çϳª´ÔÀÇ Á¦»çÀåÀÌ¶ó ¿©·¯ ¿ÕÀ» Ãļ­ Á×ÀÌ°í µ¹¾Æ¿À´Â ¾Æºê¶óÇÔÀ» ¸¸³ª º¹À» ºó ÀÚ¶ó

      This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him,

      ¾Æºê¶óÇÔÀÌ ¸ðµç °ÍÀÇ ½ÊºÐÀÇ ÀÏÀ» ±×¿¡°Ô ³ª´©¾î Áִ϶ó ±× À̸§À» Çؼ®ÇÏ¸é ¸ÕÀú´Â ÀÇÀÇ ¿ÕÀÌ¿ä ±× ´ÙÀ½Àº »ì·½ ¿ÕÀÌ´Ï °ð Æò°­ÀÇ ¿ÕÀÌ¿ä

      and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, his name means 'king of righteousness'; then also, 'king of Salem' means 'king of peace.'

      ¾Æ¹öÁöµµ ¾ø°í ¾î¸Ó´Ïµµ ¾ø°í Á·º¸µµ ¾ø°í ½ÃÀÛÇÑ ³¯µµ ¾ø°í »ý¸íÀÇ ³¡µµ ¾ø¾î Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ¾Æµé°ú ´à¾Æ¼­ Ç×»ó Á¦»çÀåÀ¸·Î ÀÖ´À´Ï¶ó

      Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest forever.

      ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¾ó¸¶³ª ³ôÀº°¡¸¦ »ý°¢ÇØ º¸¶ó Á¶»ó ¾Æºê¶óÇÔµµ ³ë·«¹° Áß ½ÊºÐÀÇ ÀÏÀ» ±×¿¡°Ô ÁÖ¾ú´À´Ï¶ó

      Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder!

      ·¹À§ÀÇ ¾Æµéµé °¡¿îµ¥ Á¦»çÀåÀÇ Á÷ºÐÀ» ¹ÞÀº ÀÚµéÀº À²¹ýÀ» µû¶ó ¾Æºê¶óÇÔÀÇ Ç㸮¿¡¼­ ³­ ÀÚ¶óµµ ÀÚ±â ÇüÁ¦ÀÎ ¹é¼º¿¡°Ô¼­ ½ÊºÐÀÇ ÀÏÀ» ÃëÇ϶ó´Â ¸í·ÉÀ» ¹Þ¾ÒÀ¸³ª

      Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people-that is, their brothers-even though their brothers are descended from Abraham.

      ·¹À§ Á·º¸¿¡ µéÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÑ ¸á±â¼¼µ¦Àº ¾Æºê¶óÇÔ¿¡°Ô¼­ ½ÊºÐÀÇ ÀÏÀ» ÃëÇÏ°í ¾à¼ÓÀ» ¹ÞÀº ±×¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© º¹À» ºô¾ú³ª´Ï

      This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

      ³í¶õÀÇ ¿©Áö ¾øÀÌ ³·Àº ÀÚ°¡ ³ôÀº ÀÚ¿¡°Ô¼­ ÃູÀ» ¹Þ´À´Ï¶ó

      And without doubt the lesser person is blessed by the greater.
