다니엘 2:34~35

1. 34

   또 왕이 보신즉 손대지 아니한 돌이 나와서 신상의 쇠와 진흙의 발을 쳐서 부서뜨리매

   While you were watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay and smashed them.

2. 35

   그 때에 쇠와 진흙과 놋과 은과 금이 다 부서져 여름 타작 마당의 겨 같이 되어 바람에 불려 간 곳이 없었고 우상을 친 돌은 태산을 이루어 온 세계에 가득하였나이다

   Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were broken to pieces at the same time and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth.

베드로전서 2:4~8

1. 4

   사람에게는 버린 바가 되었으나 하나님께는 택하심을 입은 보배로운 산 돌이신 예수께 나아가

   As you come to him, the living Stone-rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him-

2. 5

   너희도 산 돌 같이 신령한 집으로 세워지고 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님이 기쁘게 받으실 신령한 제사를 드릴 거룩한 제사장이 될지니라

   you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

3. 6

   성경에 기록되었으되 보라 내가 택한 보배로운 모퉁잇돌을 시온에 두노니 그를 믿는 자는 부끄러움을 당하지 아니하리라 하였으니

   For in Scripture it says: 'See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.'

4. 7

   그러므로 믿는 너희에게는 보배이나 믿지 아니하는 자에게는 건축자들이 버린 그 돌이 모퉁이의 머릿돌이 되고

   Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, 'The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,'

5. 8

   또한 부딪치는 돌과 걸려 넘어지게 하는 바위가 되었다 하였느니라 그들이 말씀을 순종하지 아니하므로 넘어지나니 이는 그들을 이렇게 정하신 것이라

   and, 'A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.' They stumble because they disobey the message-which is also what they were destined for.
