이사야 43:19~19

1. 19

   보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니 이제 나타낼 것이라 너희가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐 반드시 내가 광야에 길을 사막에 강을 내리니

   See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.

이사야 48:6~11

1. 6

   네가 들었으니 이 모든 것을 보라 너희가 선전하지 아니하겠느냐 이제부터 내가 새 일 곧 네가 알지 못하던 은비한 일을 네게 듣게 하노니

   You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them? 'From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you.

   이 일들은 지금 창조된 것이요 옛 것이 아니라 오늘 이전에는 네가 듣지 못하였으니 이는 네가 말하기를 내가 이미 알았노라 하지 못하게 하려 함이라

   They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, 'Yes, I knew of them.'

   네가 과연 듣지도 못하였고 알지도 못하였으며 네 귀가 옛적부터 열리지 못하였나니 이는 네가 정녕 배신하여 모태에서부터 네가 배역한 자라 불린 줄을 내가 알았음이라

   You have neither heard nor understood; from of old your ear has not been open. Well do I know how treacherous you are; you were called a rebel from birth.

   내 이름을 위하여 내가 노하기를 더디 할 것이며 내 영광을 위하여 내가 참고 너를 멸절하지 아니하리라

   For my own name's sake I delay my wrath; for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you, so as not to cut you off.

5. 10

   보라 내가 너를 연단하였으나 은처럼 하지 아니하고 너를 고난의 풀무 불에서 택하였노라

   See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.

6. 11

   나는 나를 위하며 나를 위하여 이를 이룰 것이라 어찌 내 이름을 욕되게 하리요 내 영광을 다른 자에게 주지 아니하리라

   For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.
